For All The Fires Not Yet Lit

“Ireton has a gift for skewering the absurd in the everyday, while also finding the grace in the mundane that recalls a low-key Victoria Wood; a female Alan Bennett with the voice of an angel.A solo performance that celebrates courage.” Exeunt Magazine

Bride-to-be Claire wakes with a nagging feeling that something isn’t quite right. There’s too much to do, her bottle of Lucozade has started being mean to her, and there’s no milk for a cup of tea. So it is that a morning outing to the shops turns into an odyssey of tiny proportions in which Claire attempts to locate her brave bone.

This small, tender and mighty story of everyday bravery is a clarion call to be brave in an age in which we are constantly told to be fearful. Because courage, like fear, can be contagious.
