The Salon Project

Working with fellow artist and musician Grace Kiely we researched the possibility of creating an immersive experience in a hair salon with washing, curling and drying hair while singing songs and telling stories. It was occasionally hairy but a lot of fun! We worked alongside hairdressers in Ireland and England who allowed us into their world of secrets, trust and connection. We worked with sound designer Ed Briggs who helped us to create a ‘virtual haircut’ as part of the experience, so that everyone left the salon feeling good.
